Windward Mall

So we are here @ Windward mall to get our hair cut. There's a line, so while we are waiting for it, we were looking @ stores, n get us lunch...

This top pic is one of my favorites fast food meal, Wet Mondo @ Taco Del Mer. It's sooooo big... I usually cannot finish it...lol

N the bottom pic, this place called 808 Bounce in the mall has about 6 bouncers(John call it "Jumpolin"), just pay about $8 per kid n kids can play all day. Which my kids' favorite. There are tables n chairs, we can bring food from outside n eat here, they also have wi-fi connection, so this place is very good for adults too.lol

When my hubby come home... We can come to this mall, he can stay here with kids while I am shopping...hehehe.

Dear my love...

Dear my love,
I just want you to know...
Here are the 10 of thousands reasons why I think you are the perfect husband.

You might not be a good singer,
But you do make me laugh.
You might not be a model,
But you are actually a quite good looking guy.
You might have some short temper issues,
But you do listen to what I say.
You might not be the smartest guy in the world,
But you are the most hard-worker I know.
You might complain about your work sometimes,
But you do love what you do,
And it makes me very proud of you.
You might stink sometimes,
But you do eat everything I make.
You might snore very loud,
But you do give me the best massage.
You might not be good at picking gifts for me,
But you do let me buy what I want.
You might not be the most romantic person,
But you call me or e-mail me as much as you can.
You might be far away from us right now,
But you do make me feel that you are always there for us.
And you always put us first on your priority list.
I could go on n on, but now you got the idea why I think you are the perfect husband.
And you are still adding reasons to the list...
Love u always...

Yaki Onigiri

LOL... Yea, say it! Can you pronounce that?lol... Of course, it's Japanese! Usually I try to translate those Japanese words, but I wanted to put this one in Japanese...lol If I have to translate... It probably be like "Grilled Rice Ball" or something?lol See, it sounds not right at all! At least for this thing I made!lol But now you know what that thing is...lol

Sorry, there's not really a recipe for it.lol Well, just make white rice, make balls with your hands... I mean if you can make triangle shapes like what I did... U MUST B JAPANESE!!!lmao Anyway, after you make balls, take a lil butter on your hand n lightly rub on the rice balls. Then the sauce... That brown stuff.lol Mine was just the mixture of soy sauce n miso. But I guess you could do with anything... Now you just grill it or bake it... I used my oven toaster thing. I like it with a lil burned spot.

Hahaha. Pure Japanese dish, right here! N of course my kids loved it! They are real Japanese...lol

Positive Thoughts 101: Look at the Sky

I LOVE looking at the sky... You probably can see that if you've read Positive Thoughts 101: #1 Have your own Imaginary Worlds, by me saying I have my imaginary world, living n traveling on a big cloud... Yes, I'm in love with the sky with this all clouds... Well, I like the blue sky with no clouds, it's just beautiful, but all those clouds... Wow! me every time... So...

#2 Look at the Sky

It really doesn't matter any sky. Each sky has a difference charm point.

I personally like the sky with clouds... as I already said. Many ppl find shapes in clouds, but that's not how I enjoy.lol You know it already, but I just use my imagination n on each clouds, there are ppl living.lol They are traveling just like on a big cruise ship. There may be villages too. Haha.

But I also like the sunset time sky. You know, that's the sky which has light blue n purple n orange n red... all those colors create a beautiful gradation... That's one of the most beautiful things in the world...

N when it's sunny but rainin a lil bit, you may be able to find the sun light peek from only one spot of all raining clouds... it's so mysterious... but beautiful... Just make me think there is God looking at us...

In Hawaii, we can also enjoy the view of Rainbows... Very often. It's always fun to look at Rainbows. N, yes, I am the person who would try to go to the foot of a Rainbow...lol

Anyway, overall, looking at the sky will give you energy in your mind, n WILL make you happier. Like it makes us feel that EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE! Yay! That's the positive thoughts! So now, just get out of the house, look at the sky... What do you see?

Sleeping Beauty

I guess I'm the only one who's ready to go to bed here... We woke up early this morning, I mean REALLY early! We woke up so early, John n Michele passed out n took a nap today... Now of course they are WIDE awake! Well few more days til the school really starts, so I am lettin kids stay up longer... But my eye rids are so heavy...

When did I become the person who needs AT LEAST 8hrs. sleep every day? When I was around 20yrs-old, I didn't need to sleep, really! I didn't wanna waste time for sleeping! I was working day n night, partying, dating, chatting... I was a very very busy girl, was enjoying my FULL life!

Yea, say it! I know what you want to say! Yes, I know, I know, I am not a 20yrs-old girl anymore! I am 34yrs-old woman with 2 active non-stop laughing bags for God's sake! I cannot compare myself to those young girls, right?

But do you wanna know what I really think? I think that each human has their own total-sleeping-time.lmao Everybody's numbers are difference, but each one of us has certain number of hours for the life.

So I didn't sleep not really enough when I was young, now I need to get some sleeping hours to catch up... or I will be living like til 2100.lmao

Hahaha. That's one of my theory.lol Yep, there are a few, actually... Serious.lol But tonight, I only share this one... Cuz now, my eye rids really wanna kiss their partners... Nighty-night!

Dare to be Great

Ta-da!

I've received this "Dare to be Great" Award from Lori @When We Listen! It's such an honor n the very wonderful thing to know that we can meet another great friends via this social networks...

I started my blog to express myself without grabbin somebody's arm n make them listen to me.lol For myself, to express my thoughts on my blog, actually makes me more postive n active. And I thought, only ppl who have same thoughts would read, if nobody won't, then oh well, that's alright. That's what I thought first.

But by reading many ppl's blogs... OMG... there are so many ppl feels same way(I think) or even some other way which make me re-think about it... I could agree with so many ppl who I really don't know, but because of these blogs, I feel so close to them! How great is that?

Well not only blogs, but this whole social networks, it seems a little too much at the beginning, but as much as I dig, more I understand how great it is! I've met some great friends via Facebook as well... I mean, we probably will never meet in person, but don't you think it's just great to have few more ppl who may live the other side of country, or even the world, that you can say "Hello!" to? Isn't it nice to know that there are some ppl who have same thoughts as you?

I mean, unfortunately there are some bad ppl who take an advantage of this technology n do bad things too. So I totally understand that some ppl feel unsecure about this whole social network thing. Fortunately for me, I've met so many great ppl thru the internet, ppl who I actually wanna call "my friends". Even the friends who I met OFF the internet, I could get to know more about them thru this social networks. N the great thing about this is, it let me keep connected with all my friends...

So...
Thank you Lori to create this idea n letting me to be a part of this. And all of my friends(who I've been talking about this couple of days...), I wanna say thank you again! Love you all!

P.S.
I would love to pass this award on to all of my friends... but this award is more for those bloggers who are helping others by sharing the thoughts on their blogs. I will read through my favorites blogs, n I would like to send this award to them. Thank you!

The Border Line between "Friends" and "Not Friends"

Usually, there's really no rules about that. But sometimes, I have to ask myself, "Is she really my friend?"

I am the person who would call many ppl as "my friends". I mean, isn't it great to have a lot of friends? But what is the "friend" really, anyway? Does it have to be some ways?

I had this one friend. One day we, just me n her, were talking about the one girl, I mean she's my friend as well. Anyway, I said "I like her, I think she's really nice. I am glad to have her as my friend." Then the comment my friend gave me was "well, only if she thinks that you are her friend as well." I mean, she didn't even know about anything about me n her, then she just said thing like that. Of course that comment of her disgust me. I didn't wanna even talk to her after that.

Obviously I questioned to myself about what she said to me. Not about if the girl who I called "my friend" really thinks that I am her friend, but about if it really has to be under some kinda agreement to call each other "friends"?

We sometimes get upset to our friends too. But it doesn't mean, they are no more our friends. When they become a "not friend", there must be a good reason to it.

I don't talk to her everyday... is she my "not friend"?
I don't know everything about her... is she my "not friend"?
I don't go out with her very often... is she my "not friend"?
I haven't even called her for a while... is she my "not friend"?
I saw her today, n said hi. But we didn't really have time to stop n talk... is she my "not friend"?
I never actually met her in person... is she my "not friend"?

The answer is NO, THEY ARE MY "FRIENDS". I would proudly call them as my friends. After all, that's what all matters.

So who is really my "not friend"?

I thought she was my friend, but I don't get any respects from her.
I thought she was my friend, but she obviously doesn't care how I feel.
I thought she was my friend, but she said mean things to me a lot.
I thought she was my friend, but I am not comfortable with her anymore!

Yes, that's the thing. How I feel about this person! When I realized these things, I just stopped caring about her. N that was it. There I put the border line. N you know what? That was actually the girl who gave me the comment.(Well there were more issues between me n her...) The girl we were talking about is still my friend, but the girl who I was talking to is not my friend anymore!

I am a human. So I am not perfect. So I have feelings n dislikes sometimes. I don't even seek "perfect" from my friends. They are my friends, that's good enough. My friends I have today, they are all my friends. And I am pretty sure I will meet more.

I may not be actually there all the time for them.
I may not even talk to them often anymore.
I may have not met them in person yet.
There may be still a lot of things I don't know about them.

But still, they are my friends. New friends, old friends, best friends, just friends... No matter what some ppl say, they are my friends.

So... if you are reading this... you are my friend with no question.:):):) N, again... thank you for being my friend.

Fried Pork

Our tonight's dinner is... Fried Pork! Well, I was gonna make Japanese style Fried Chicken actually, I defrosted the wrong meat... So we ate pork 2 days in a row!lol We had cabbage left over from last night... N I could use it today too... BTW, why always(my opinion) pork n cabbage work very well together?

Ingredient:
Pork Tender Loin
Salt n Pepper
Flour
Eggs
Panko(Japanese Bread Crumb)

Direction:
1. Heat the oil. I use my deep fryer 380 degrees. Cut pork into a bite size. Line them up on a cutting board. Beat the meat with the back of knife. Salt n pepper the meat. Flip'em n do same process.
2. Put some flour(I would say 1 to 1 1/2 cups should be enough) in a ziploc bag. Put the meat in the same bag. Shake it!
3. Beat eggs in a bowl. Set a plate with Panko next to eggs. Take 1 piece of the meat from the bag, dunk in eggs very well, then put the meat on Panko plate. Cover the meat with Panko. When you put Panko on the meat, give a lil pressure so Panko would stick on the meat very well. Do same process all the meat.
4. Deep fry the pork til it float, n see less bubbles. Take them out n put on some paper towels.

Yummm...lol Japanese Panko is used often in the Food Network shows(that's what I heard), it's a lil difference than regular one, I guess. No flavor to it. You probably can find @ Oriental food isle in any grocery stores.

You could try with pork chops, but I like using tender loin.

Oh, one more thing! Please don't forget! It's flour - eggs - Panko, NOT flour - Panko - eggs!lol I gave the recipe to one of my friends, n she did that...lol She's cute doin that though...lol

Thank You All for Being My Friends...

I just want to say...

Thank you all for being my friends!

Believe or not, I do have some kind of "persecution complex"(??? I used my dictionary... does it make sense?) about I am a Japanese. As you know, I do act like one of you all... like American?lol I do love the life here in United States. I do love the way you think... So I just want to blend in one of you...

But in the end, I am Japanese. Fortunately all my friends don't care about that at all. I mean, it probably not a big deal about it...lol Well, I am actually a proud Japanese as well. OK, now I am confusing you, huh?lol

My point is... Probably most of foreigners, not only here in U.S., but anywhere, most of us have some kind of feeling like this, I think. Especially when we really want to be a part of the country... It's not that we are having hard times to blend in, but it's probably something that we cannot avoid to feel...

But here, my friends... All of my friends here in this country(and some from the other countries as well...), you make me very comfortable being here. I am a very lucky girl to have you all... Of course starting with my hubby Chris, thank you for letting me being in your life... And all of you, my friends... I love you all so much! Because of you, I can be so happy everyday!

Glove... Ballon... Cut... Ouch!.. Ginger... W-Ouch!... n Dora...

We went to Tripler today... just went for my friend Lani's appt.lol She got one of those rubber glove which for nurses n doctors, but she got one for Michele. Well, no reason, but you know, kids love those stuff! So I blow it up just like a balloon, that's the first thing I thought what to do with it...lol But the problem was that glove doesn't stretch like a balloon, I mean blowin up part wasn't the problem, but to tie up... It was so tight on my finger, it didn't le me tie!!! So I end up scraping my skin of my finger with my nail... Well, Michele is very happy with it so it was worth it, maybe?lol

We came home, n I was preparing my pork ginger. So I was peelin it... You know, gingers are not round, not square, it's like thick branch... N when you peel those thing, you supposed to move knife toward to you... So I did... OUCH! I totally hit my lil cut with the knife!!! Well, I didn't cut or anything, it didn't bleed or anything either... But I hit right on the target!!! N just to make it worse, the ginger juice covered on my finger... It F-ing HURTS!!!

I hope this Dora bandage will make my boo-boo go away...lol

Purple... Not Bad...lol

Well it doesn't show in these pics, but I tried some purplish colors like lavender n egg plant for my eye makeup. Usually I don't wear these color... It doesn't really look "me" color. It's pretty as itself, but I usually go with more like browns, golds, sometime blues... But not really purple. But since my outfit today is kinda purple, I decided to try one.

I was working @ Bobbi Brown counter in HIA til Feb. this year, for about a year and a half. I think I never really wore this lavender while I was working... I wore egg plant with mauve colors... but not with lavender. I thought it's too bright for me, maybe?

I used to love those colors when I was still in Japan... I was a cosmetic girl. Like I HAD TO buy all new colors, I spent most of my pay with cosmetics. N now I think about it, I bought those light purple colors a lot, n it didn't look bad on me...

So... I tried it on today. Not bad.lol I think I like it. Not too strong either. I guess it's good to look back sometimes, huh?

Lyric Sunday: Man in the Mirror

I noticed... A lot of long-run blogs have some kinda weekly posts... So what I wanna do? I always wanted to post my favorites songs n lyrics... so.... Lyric Sunday. Wow, can I really keep this up???lol Well, I'll try... I've been listening to American song since I was little...

OK, I LOVE MICHEAL JACKSON. I wouldn't say, "loved", I still love him. No matter who says what, I believe he's just a still child in his mind n VERY kind person. I mean, who don't have childish thoughts in themselves? Most of us are just afraid to show the child side... I am not afraid of that. I still have lots of childish thoughts in me.

Anyway, include the meaning of tribute of Michael Jackson, I would upload my favorites of his songs for a while...(n that would keep it up...)

Man in the Mirror

I'm Gonna Make A Change For Once In My Life
It's Gonna Feel Real Good
Gonna Make A Difference Gonna Make It Right

As I, Turn Up The Collar On My Favourite Winter Coat
This Wind Is Blowin' My Mind

Who Am I To Be Blind?

'Cause They Got Nowhere To Go

I've Been A Victim Of A Selfish Kind Of Love
It's Time That I Realize
That There Are Some With No Home
Not A Nickel To Loan
Could It Be Really Me Pretending That They're Not Alone?

A Willow Deeply Scarred Somebody's Broken Heart
And A Washed-Out Dream
They Follow The Pattern Of The Wind, Ya' See
Cause They Got No Place To Be
That's Why I'm Starting With Me

I'm Starting With The Man In The Mirror
I'm Asking Him To Change His Ways
And No Message Could Have Been Any Clearer

If You Wanna Make The World A Better Place
Take A Look At Yourself And Then Make A Change

by Michael Jackson

This is absolutely the BEST of my favorites all time!
I mean, singing myself makes me tears every time... He really taught us a lot of things, I would say. He's not just a singer, he's a great guy... N he had a power to make ppl listen to it... his songs really hit many ppl's heart... If you never really listen to it... I mean, listen to his lyrics... you may wanna start reading it... Cuz, I have so many more songs in mind, planning to post...

R.I.P. King of Pop: Michael Jackson....
You will live in us 4ever...

Night of Champions

Photo via WWE.com

Well... John Cena n Triple H couldn't get the title, but Christian won, Kofi Kingston won, Rey Rey won, n Jeff Hardy won... So... it was good!

I invited my friend Lani n her kids, well actually John totally got her younger son into all this WWE, so I allow John to bring all WWE action figures n toy downstairs. End up, kids were more into playing, as usual for John, me n Lani enjoyed the show... more like watching all hot wrestlers...lmao

Many guys would say "But it's fake." I KNOW! It says in their comapany name, "World Wrestling ENTERTAINMENT"! But you know what? Yearbook Yourself 2009

LMFAO! Yep, that's me! How lovely, huh? This website called "Yearbook Yourself 2009" will let you upload your pics n reel in the all decades you like! I found it on Facebook, one of my friends did that... It's just TOO FUNNY playing with this thing! I was bored so I did with my hubby pic also, n published on my FB... Sorry, honey! I couldn't help it! Try it n you're gonna like it!

Skype 2 My Love

My hubby's currently in Iraq, he's in U.S. military, a proud Navy man. He's got his IA order last year, n he had to leave to Iraq this past March. So he's away from home now...

Yes, we misses him so much. But thanks to all these technologies, we get to talk via online-video-phone called Skype. Unfortunately he can do Skype once a week, for now, because he's ultra busy there... But these couple of weeks, we've been doing Skype video call every Saturday morning my time(like late night in his time). We get to see his face n all, he can see me n kids, this is a great thing.

I have a few friends whose husbands are retired military. These friends of mine always tell me that we are lucky because at least we can talk to each other like this. Back then... I mean their husband served in Vietnam, they didn't have many communication options but letters n stuff... If they tried to make a phone call, though I am not sure if they could, it would have cost a fortune. So anyway, I've heard when they sent a letter to their husbands, it took for a while to get there. Now, if I send a box to my hubby, it only takes about a week. N let's not forget about e-mail, our main communication tool. We can e-mail to each other almost everyday. Isn't that nice? At least I could know if he's fine, he can see what's going on here. Back then, they couldn't do that. The wives could only pray for their husbands, n wait for him to come home, which they probably didn't even know when he's coming home. So... I cannot complain about anything.

Anyway, this, becoming every Saturday morning surprise(?), is definitely my favorite time now!

A Box from Japan

Yay! I got a box from my mom in Japan! She often sends us boxes filled with this all Japanese snacks n candies n chocolates n cookies...

Japanese snacks are THE BEST! If you've never tried one yet, you may wanna find it somewhere somehow.lol Like they make all snacks with all best qualities, new techniques n recipes, plus they even consider about healthy too. So there're not bright unnatural colors to it, but they still look so good n fun. They really think n learn what ppl would like to buy n stuff, so those packages are very fun, but also inside, actual snacks taste very good as well. I guess Japanese are very picky with anything...lol I didn't appreciate it to all these stuff when I lived in Japan, but since I moved to U.S., I really think Japanese foods are great. I don't wanna give kids those bright colored candies, which make their tongues colored as well, n it said "Cherry flavor" but it doesn't taste like Cherry at all(more taste like Dr. Pepper?)... Well they've got no choice n eat'em sometimes, which I am not very strict about it, but they even prefer Japanese snacks... Cuz they know those are much yummier!!

Since we are in Hawaii, I can get some of those @ Japanese stores, but they are very expensive, I almost don't wanna give it to kids...lol So my mom, a wonderful grandma to my kids, often send us boxes filled with these suprises... I love my mom!

Movie Night: He's Just Not That into You

When I watched: July 24, 2009
Where I watched: Home, PPV

God... This movie was SO GOOD! It made me laugh, it made me cry(a lil bit... probably it's just me...) too.

It just caught me from the beginning, just couldn't agree more! All stories sound soooo familiar with me n my past relationships or "was-not-even" relationships.lol This movie is all about relationship between men and women. And that's ALL SO TRUE!!! Wow... I mean, I am not a guy, obviously, lol but I am pretty sure most of guys would agree with this movie too.

Plus, how each stories end was great! My favorite love story in this movie is Gigi n Alex. Yes, there are guys like Alex out there, n there are A LOT of girls just like Gigi. BTW, this Alex, Justin Long looks very familiar... Oh, that's right! He was the geek-tech guy in "Live Free or Die Hard"! Even he's not my type at all, after watching this movie, he looks attractive to me now...lmao I mean, talking about only looks, then I would totally go for Ben, Bradley Cooper(Ugh! He's HOT!), but if looking at total, then Alex would be my type.

I definitely want ALL GIRLS to watch this movie... n if you are with your boy friend/husband, then watch together. This is a chick flick, but guys can enjoy too. This is now, totally one of my favorites... I just can't wait to talk about this movie with my friends too!

P.S. To Chris... In case you are reading this... I'm just girls' talkin here so don't get jealous!lmao

Movie Night: 12 Rounds

12 Rounds (2009)

John Cena, Asheley Scott, Aidan Gillen

When I watched: July 11, 2009
Where I watched: Home, DVD

I got this DVD for John's b-day...
First thing I have to say... John cena is HOOOOT!!!! Well, I actually liked the story too. It's almost like "Die Hard with a Vengeance", so I could watch all without getting bored.(Good thing, since my kids LOVE John Cena, so they watched all to the end, they didn't bother me at all!)
Well, one thing... just too many good ppl died unnecessary, I thought... Like, they didn't really have to die, couldn't it be just bad injured? It wouldn't really change the story line...
But it's totally much better than "The Marine". I wonder if they will make more movies with John Cena... yea, how'bout another wrestlers? It showed Ted DeBiase in "The Marine 2", but how about Jeff Hardy in some kinda extream movie? MVP in black movie?? Batista in mafia movie???lmao

Hamburg Steak

It's very popular dish in Japan, just like salisbury steak or meatloaf... One of kids' favorites dish. Here's the recipe...
Ingredients:
1 lb. Ground Beef
1 Onion
1/2 cup Carrot
1 slice of Bread
3 tbsp. Milk
1 Large Egg
Salt n Pepper
(Make 5 to 6)
Direction:
1. Chop onion n carrot... I use food processor. Heat some oil in a frying pan, stir fry the chopped veggies for 5min. with high-medium heat. Keep stiring. Put in a large bowl. Cool it down a lil bit.
2. Shred the bread in food processor n put in a small bowl. Add milk in n let milk soak in the bread.
3. Add the bread mixture, ground beef, egg, salt n pepper, mix very well with a hand.
4. Take a lil smaller than a tenise ball size in one hand, throw it to the other hand... like a lil catch ball with your two hands...lol To do so, let the air out from inside the patty.
5. Shape them just like hamburger patty or oval, flat to 1/4in.
6. Heat a lil oil in a frying pan, first high heat, put 2 or 3 patties on a pan. Wait about 30sec., reduce the heat to medium n flip the patties. Put a lid on the pan. Let it cook about 5mins. or til it's cooked through.
7. Put the steak on a plate, use the same pan to warm the sauce... I use ketchup n Japanese 'Bulldog' sauce... which is probably close to worcestershire sauce + BBQ sauce. By using the same pan, the sauce gets lil beef juice... Some may call it grease, but it adds a good taste to the sauce.

*My hubby likes this with fried egg(sunnyside up) on top.
It's great for kids who don't like veggies, because it has onion n carrots inside but it's chopped n mixed, so it doesn't show nor taste. We usually eat with rice, but I believe mashed potato would work with it just fine!

How I Enjoy the Afternoon

Wow... It's already Friday... Well it's not a big deal, since kids are out of school... But just, wow... So I decided to get my butt up, finally, to mop the floor... Then again, wow...lol I used a regular mop first, then steam-mopped... Wow... how dirty the pads was... My floor didn't look THAT dirty, but obviously it was...lol I sure can feel it cleanness with my feet now though...(we don't wear shoes in the house! Japanese style...)

So... Mop the floor, check! Clean the bathroom, check! Prepared white rice for dinner, check! Before I start to make our main dish?lol, I think I deserve some relax afternoon...

OK, what I have here... A glass of Orange juice with a lot of crushed ice... sitting down on the couch n checking my friends' status on Facebook... hugs n kisses from my kids... nice breeze n just right amount of sun light comes in from the window... JUST PERFECT!

Positive Thoughts 101: Have your own Imaginary Worlds

Being positive will lead you to the happiness.

Fortunately I am "born postive", I guess. I am the person who cannot think negative... well even if I did, it wouldn't last any longer than over night. When something bad happenes to me, my mind automatically think the positive way of it. And it just let me get out from any negative thoughts. I would say, I am SO DAMN GOOD about it.lol
So I will start to make a list n share how I do that... trying to remember what I do and how I do... I have to tell you first, it can be very crazy...lol But if you are having stay positive, you may wanna give it a try!

#1: Have your own Imaginary Worlds

Hello, my name is Maki, I'm 34yrs-old, and I have my own Imaginary World...lol

I told you it can be very crazy...lol But I tell you what, sometimes...not all the time... sometimes, you gotta get out of the real world! Well, I don't go to my Imaginary World anytime I want, that would be very freaky...lol What I do is, when I go to bed... I close my eyes, n totally stop thinking about the real world, n think about me in somewhere else.

My favorite world is "living and traveling on a big cloud" world.lol

This has been in my Imaginary World for a LONG TIME... I believe I mentioned to my hubby once, n he told me that I'm crazy...lol Oh, well... nobody can stop from what I imagine in my dream, right?

Actually this "living and traveling on a big cloud" thing came from, I believe, the one story art what I saw when I was little. I was like 4 or 5yrs old, I think. I still kinda remember about the art. The story was the famous Chinese story in Japan, "Saiyuki", which story about the monkey boy called Son Goku n his friends' adventure, but this Son Goku rides on a cloud called Kintonun... Well well, it's very old story(just so let you know I'm not talking about Dragon Ball). So there was this story art on the wall, I think it was inside the mall... So it was very big n fun for especially little kids. I was very young, even before I started to think like "oh, this is my favorite" or anything. It just stayed in my mind all my life, I guess.

So back to the point. When I go to bed, I just go to somewhere else fun... It's not same everyday, I have quite a few world on my own...lol Everybody should have their fantasy, right? I'm not talking about dirty...lol, well if you say that's your fantasy n want it to be your imaginary world, that's fine... but I'm talking about somewhere fun, no stress, not existing world. Could be from some movies, books, or cartoons!

Haha, now you think I'm crazy!lol Well, don't worry, I don't bring this world to my real world.lol When I wake up every morning, I'm back to a 34yrs-old mom/wife! And continue my real life without any negative thoughts, everything just so looks wonderful when I start a day. Because there are tons of great possibilities waiting for me...

Window Shoppin' Fun

Dammit! I totally forgot to take pictures of this fun time today!lol I went out with my best friend Lani, just for window shopping... Yep, I'm broke! I spent too much money for John's b-day... Oh, well...lol So we went to the mall, but you know, window shopping could be so much fun, all depends on who you go with!

Me n Lani are always finding some fun everywhere... We are bad though...lol Well, besides finding cute things n adding them to the wish list, just finding so many curious things, mysterious fashion... I guess we are just talking bad?

Like, there were these red lollipops sold in Borders. It caught my eye, n I froze a second... WTH? When they start to sell adult novelties? Am I in Spencer's??? Yep, that lollipops looked like man's pe**s!! God, I should have taken a picture of that... Well it was actually... well, supoosed to be an airplane or a spaceship or something... But I had Lani look at it right away, n she had a same reaction! Yay! It's not just me!lol

So, these things, we find n we laugh... It's just so fun... I guess I am still in "girl" category, not "lady"category... in a good way...lol

It's already midnight... n here I am... still blogging...lol More I dig, more I find funs...

Today, I was trying to get some followers through Mom Bloggers Club. To get followers, become a follower! So I visited quite many blogs... wow... they are all good... ending up really read into those...lol Not only I could get ideas, but there are so many great helpful informations too... n THEY ARE ALL FREE!!! Well, this is me, so...lol Anyway, some of them give me all helpful tips, some of them give me motivation, some of them make me laugh... So now, how many blogs am I following anyway...? Lumpia #2

So this time I tried to make Chicken lumpia. Well not big reason... Just because I had a lot of chicken in my freezer...lol Well, I thought it would be a lil healthier? Besides, I didn't feel like too meaty... So here's what I used this time...

Ingredients:
1lb. Chicken Thigh, minced
1 Onion
1/2 cup Carrot, minced
1/2 head Cabbage, shredded
1/2 cup Green Onion
Salt n' Pepper
That's all. I put more cabbage this time, again, I didn't feel like too meaty... It was actually easier to roll than last time, I guess less grease? Well while I was rollin them... It didn't smell so yummy...lol It just so... Chickeny...?lmao

Anyway, I deep fried... It actually looked good. Well, it's still lumpia after all...lol The tastem... it was not bad... but not so good...lol I don't know, cabbage n chicken are not really good combination?lol Oh, I know, that's probably cuz I used thigh, maybe it's better with breast? But I gotta admit... It's fun 2 make lumpia! What should I use next time...lol

Lumpia #1

Lumpia is one of creativable(is that even a word?) dish, I think... First I met "lumpia" about 2yrs ago... My friend in San Diego made n brought it to a potluck party. The one she made was very meaty, my husband loved it, my kids loved it, of course I loved it too. She taught me how to make it, and it was so simple... So I tried right away. So back then, I was putting just seasoned ground beef inside. Which was good...

Then we had another one here in Hawaii... I guess it's more like real, Filipino style... which has a lot of veggies inside, more close to spring roll, I would say. N it's goooooood.lol So now I decided to try making one of those, so I searched the recipe on the internet. OK, here's the recipe I found n I've tried...

Ingredients:1 lb. Ground Pork ...I used Ground Beef instead
2 cloves Garlic, crushed
1/2 cup chopped Onion ...I used 1 onion
1/2 cup minced Carrots
1/2 cup chopped Green Onion
1/2 cup thinly sliced Green Cabbage
1 tsp. Ground Black Pepper
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Garlic Powder
1 tsp. Soy Sauce
30 Lumpia Wrappers

Direction:
1. Place a wok or large skillet over high heat, and pour in 1tbsp. vegetable oil. Cook pork(beef), stirring frequentl, until no pink is showing. Remove pork from pan and set aside. Drain grease from pan, leaving a thin coating. Cook garlic and onion in the same pam for 2mins. Stir in the cooked pork(beef), carrots, green onions, and cabbage. Season with pepper, salt, garlic powder, and soy sauce. Remove from heat, and set aside until cool enough to handle.
2. Place three heaping tbsp. of the filling diagonally near one corner of each wrapper, leaving a 1 1/2 in. space at both ends. Fold the side along the length of the filling over the filling, tuck in both ends, and roll neatly. Keep the roll tight as you assemble. Moisten the other side of the wrapper with water to seal the edge. Cover the rolls with plastic wrap to retain moisture.
3. Heat a heavy skillet over medium heat, add oil to 1/2in. depth, and heat for 5mins. Slide 3 or 4 lumpia into the oil. Fry the rolls for 1 to 2mins., until all sides are golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Serve immediately.

So I made this for my son's birthday... well he was sick so he couldn't eat much... anyway, it was good, I think. We had so mnay leftovers, so next day, I put in the oven n warm it up, NOT MICROWAVE, USE THE OVEN to get crunchy again...

N I'm thinking... I probably can do many creative ways...?

Farm Town

So this is what I've been doing...lol Farm Town on Facebook. This is my farm. I recently changed it to a maze.lol It's very addictive, I mean it's very cute I think, of course it's fun. Have friends in neighbors, sending gifts to friends, hiring them for havesting n plowing, get coins n points, buying some seeds, trees, flowers, animals n houses too... Good thing, they keep improving the game, so it's getting better n better...lol

I even made some GOOD FT friends. We can meet some ppl in Market Place to hire n stuff, n if we like their job(basically if they are nice...), we can add them on the buddy list. But to make them be in the neighbor, they have to be your FB friends. So I actually made some FB friends from FT. My husband was like "uh.... dear, who are these ppl?", n I was like, "oh, they are my Farm friends!"lmao. Unfortunately he's not playing FT yet... well it's kinda hard to play these games in Iraq... But I hope he will start after he comes home...lol

Coldest Place in Hawaii

And I was told that we should not turn on n off again n again... So if we stay home, we get freezing...lol Our kids always tell me "Mommy, I'm cold!" n I put winter pj on them... It sounds so wrong... doesn't it? Well... I better change the setting again, I guess...lol Oh, which reminds me that it's time 2 change the filter too!
